No Audiences With Rolf or Earl-Dubya's Japan trip seems to have gone over well. Not much substance (there rarely is in summit meetings) and only one minor faux pas, where he put in "devaluation" when he meant to say "deflation", causing some jitters in the foreign currency markets. He got in a few down-home quips, comparing PM Koizumi to the Mariners Ichiro Suzuki and suggested that some temple archers might get some live target practice with the press corps. On to Korea, where he'll take a first-hand look at Axis of Evil East through binoculars.
